Believe it or not, another poem wrote itself in my head a few weeks back. I’ve just been too lazy and preoccupied to publish it. So at long last, here it is. My PSG family will understand best, and I love them all endlessly.
First Breath
Cracking the surface shell,
We gulped our First Breath.
Stepping from Dark to sunlight,
We grabbed our First Breath.
Like a newborn child,
We drew our first breath.
Finally ripe to sing again,
We breathed our First Breath.
Oh, and sing we did!
We sent the rain packing
With magical music
Powered by perfect love.
Shattered, yes,
But quite a bit wiser,
We finally melted together again,
Eager and hungry to fill our lungs,
And exhale our First Breath.

Wow, Seana. Lovely.

I love the first breath theme. I also love the science and theology of first breath defining personhood. Thus, the Supreme Court is all wet!
